Version 20.1

NewLineType Enumeration

Constants which specify the way a newline within a paragraph is represented in the generated output.
Syntax
public enum NewLineType : System.Enum
Members
MemberDescription
CarriageReturnThe newline is represented as a carriage return. For the WordprocessingML format, the '<cr>' tag is used to represent the newline in the generated XML.
LineBreakThe newline is represented as a line break. For the WordprocessingML format, the '<br>' tag is used to represent the newline in the generated XML.
Remarks

A document consumer may interpret the behavior of line breaking characters differently depending on the characters used to represent them. For example, MS Word interprets a carriage return differently depending on whether the content is enclosed within a table cell. Paragraph justification also behaves differently depending on whether a line break or carriage return is used.
